42° angle for prostate biopsy
The TargetPro Needle Guide is designed for precise transrectal access, allowing a biopsy needle to be inserted into the prostate at an upward angle of 42°. This prevents the prostate from being altered by ultrasound and facilitates in fusion biopsy.

Designed for specific endorectal transducers
The TargetPro needle guide is specifically designed for BK Medical’s 8818, E14C4t (9018), 8808e and E11C3b (9008) ultrasound probes. TargetPro is designed to perfectly align with the transducer shaft recess on these specific models. A securing bracket keeps it in position.

What is the purpose of TargetPro?
Our TargetPro Needle Guide assists with manual needle positioning during ultrasound-guided transrectal prostate biopsies. Using the defined angle, needles can be precisely positioned at points specified by the user, for example, based on the matching display on the ultrasound device or by planning software.
Support for hands-free prostate biopsies
For MRI fusion biopsies of the prostate, accessing all regions of the prostate is crucial. The prostate must be altered as minimally as possible. In the past, this has been unachievable, particularly concerning the puncturing of the apical and ventral regions of the prostate. The precision of the fusion between MRI and ultrasound was compromised due to deformation. The TargetPro needle guide offers a resolution to this issue. Due to its distinctive design, the biopsy needle is angled upward at a 42-degree incline without requiring the transducer to be tilted. This significantly increases the region of the prostate reachable by the biopsy needle.
TargetPro may only be used under the following conditions
This needle guide was developed by MTT specifically for use with the 8818, E14C4t (9018), 8808e and E11C3b (9008) ultrasound probes from BK Medical. It is also only intended for use with 18G needles. The following needles have been verified for use: Max-Core™ Disposable Core Biopsy Instrument, MC1820.
In addition, the TargetPro Needle Guide should only be used in conjunction with our BioJet MRI Fusion System.
Certified Medical Needle Guide
According to EU MDR 2017/745, the MTT TargetPro Needle Guide is considered a Class IIa invasive medical device and is approved for temporary use. Please note that our needle guide may only be used in urological offices and operating rooms.
